Data Center industry has undergone profound changes recently and is now a fundamental component within business strategy delivery. The ongoing and massive surge in data traffic in Tanzania and the African region as a whole pauses the way for a stronger infrastructure backbone. In the past few years, Tanzania has witnessed an increase in the digitalization of the economy driven by digital data, and in the process many economic opportunities are created. As such, in 2015, the Government of Tanzania constructed a state-of the art modern tier-III Data Center - National Internet Data Center (NIDC). The impetus for the construction of NIDC that will be used to store various information generated by the use of the National ICT Broadband Backbone (NICTBB).
